Ovarian cancer stoma support group - Ovacome

Practical help and support groups

When your ovarian cancer surgery has left you with a stoma, this can be a real shock. It can leave you feeling very alone with many questions about how this will affect your day to day life. Our online stoma group is a friendly space for anyone living with a colostomy, ileostomy or urostomy to chat with others in similar circumstances. You’ll be able to share advice and experiences in a relaxed, informal environment. You do not need to stay for the whole hour and a half; you are welcome to join us for as long as you like. We meet on the third Wednesday of every month, from 11 am to 12:30 pm. This is an online group, meaning that you can video call or phone in from anywhere. The group was set up with the help of Ovacome members who are living with a stoma. There will be a stoma nurse available for most sessions, and occasional speakers.
